‘What comes in a door pack?’ is a common question we get asked when selling sliding door systems. In this blog we will go through what comes in door packs for different systems.
Basic Door Pack Contents
The contents of a basic door pack are always very similar regardless of the system they come with. A basic door pack comes with wheels (particular to the chosen system), track stops and a simple floor guide. For sliding glass systems door packs will also come with the clamps used to fix the glass to the system, these systems also come with slightly different floor guides to timber sliding systems.
Soft Close Door Packs
When purchasing a system with a soft close function, the contents of the door pack will be slightly different, basic wheels are replaced with soft close wheels and a soft close activator. Soft close systems allow silent sliding and are a quieter alternative to standard sliding systems.
Extra Door Packs
Extra door packs are usually purchased as an extra with a kit for those who wish to add an extra door to their system. For example, if you wish to have a double sliding door then an extra door pack will be required. Buying one extra door pack will give you everything you need to add an extra door to your system as long as your track is long enough for both doors.
Folding Sliding Door Packs
For folding sliding systems if you wish to add an extra door then you will need to purchase a hinge pack, these are slightly different to door packs. They come with hinges which enable you to add an extra single door on to either a two or a four door system. You can also get 2 door extension packs which allow you to add 2 doors, these come with 6 hinges, a roller and a bottom guide.
