In this blog we will be looking at fire rated sliding systems. If your sliding door needs to be fire rated it is important to ensure that the entire system meets fire regulations, and that you are using an FD30 fire door. There is one system that has been tested and is fire safety compliant.
iMpero FD30 Pocket Door Kit
The iMpero FD30 system is the only system that is fire certified and has been tested for use with a standard FD30 fire door. The system is available for both single pocket doors and double pocket doors, and also comes in multiple sizes depending on the height and width of your FD30 door.
The biggest system, designed for taller doors, can take doors up to 2700mm high and 1250mm-1500mm wide, please note this size can only be used on single doors. The maximum size for double doors is 2400mm high and 626-926mm wide for taller doors OR 2100mm high and 926-1058mm wide for wider doors.
Optional Extras
There are some optional extras which can be added on to the iMpero fire door systems that do not come with the basic kits. The iMpero soft stop dampers can be added to most fire door systems, these catch the door when it has been manually closed and draw it finally into the jamb. Self close dampers can also be added to most iMpero fire door systems, there are two types, one with soft stop, which can be used on double doors, and one with e-mag, which closes any doors upon the activation of a fire alarm. All of these optional extras cannot be used for doors any less than 755mm wide. They can be found in the components section at the bottom of the iMpero FD30 page.

i am looking to fit telescopic fire rated pocket doors for a client of mine this is to partition off kitchen to livingroom the size of the opening is 2200mm wide 2400 high i am going to use door blanks (8×4) cut down to size but will need everthing else frame /jambs and head /running gear /closing gear /and soft close if poss
