The 3 Door Problem – Telescopic Systems
‘I have been looking on your website at the SAHECO Excellence Telescopic kit. I need a telescopic system that will allow for 3 doors, but I can only see options for up to 2 doors on your website. Can you help with this?’
As you can see, this customer needs a telescopic system for 3 doors, which is a request we get quite a lot. We do have a 3 door progressive telescopic system, the SF-A81, however this is a more expensive system which did not fit within the customer’s budget.
There is a solution to this request, allowing this customer to install a 3-door telescopic system using the same system mentioned in the e-mail. So, how do you buy a telescopic system for 3 doors?
Firstly, we let the customer know that this system can work with 3 doors, though it is not a 3 door system, it is able to be modified so that it can work for 3 doors, as long as the door widths are no more than 1000mm each. We then told them the easiest way to purchase the desired system, in component form.
Our Solution
‘Yes, we can help! As long as your doors are no more than 1000mm wide each, this will work fine. Though the system is not designed for 3 doors, it can easily be modified. If you wish to purchase this system for 3 doors, it will be easier to buy it in component form, so what you will need is as follows;
- X1 ‘track only 2000mm’
- X1 ‘track only 3000mm’
- X1 ‘track only 4000mm’
- X3 ‘100kg extra door packs’
- X2 ‘2 door telescopic bumpers’ (Right or left hand depending on which way your doors will be sliding)
Please note, the telescopic bumpers will have to be adjusted slightly to work with a 3 door system, and you will be left with one spare. As the bumpers are required to sit on top of each other for a 3 door system, new fixing holes in the bumpers will have to be drilled to allow for this.’
